Desktop app data
CourseSpine stores course metadata, progress, notes, transcripts, summaries, indexes, and settings locally on your device. It does not upload your source videos to CourseSpine servers.
Optional AI services
AI can be disabled. Ollama requests stay on your machine. If you configure a cloud AI provider, the content needed for your request is sent directly to that provider under its own privacy terms.
Licensing
License activation sends the license key and a machine identifier to the CourseSpine licensing relay. The relay validates Lemon Squeezy keys and maintains the active-device lease needed to enforce the three-device limit.
Website and purchases
The public website is delivered through Cloudflare and uses Microsoft Clarity for aggregate usage analytics. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which collects the billing and payment information required to complete a sale. CourseSpine does not receive full card details.
