Does CourseSpine really work offline?
Yes. Playback, course organization, progress, notes, and your local data work without an account or internet connection. Optional cloud AI and license checks use the network.
Which platforms are available?
Windows is available now as an installer and portable ZIP. macOS and Linux builds are planned but are not currently offered.
Is $19 a subscription?
No. $19 is a one-time purchase for CourseSpine. There is no recurring CourseSpine fee.
How many devices can I use?
One license covers up to three active devices. You can remove an old device from Settings → License → Manage devices.
Do I need an AI API key?
No. The player works with AI off. Ollama runs locally. A provider key is required only when you choose an optional cloud AI provider.
Where is my course data stored?
CourseSpine is local-first. Course metadata and derived learning files stay on your disk. Your source videos are never uploaded by CourseSpine.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. The Windows download includes a 14-day free trial of the full app.
What is the refund policy?
Try the app during the free trial first. If a purchase still is not right for you, email support@coursespine.com so the request can be reviewed.
